During my Perth trip, I was fortunate and blessed with an opportunity to work with two of its local models to broaden my photography experience overseas. I sent out a casting in their local modeling forum for TFCD collaboration and two models have answered and replied their keen interest.

Laura is the first model whom I will meet first for a photo shoot session. We did part of the shoot in my hotel room with the portable lighting equipments I brought along from Singapore. The rest were down by the infinity pool of my hotel.

Lens used : Canon EF 50mm F1.4, Canon EF 70-200mm F4 L USM (Borrowed)

Kim is the next model which I have the privilege of working with. She is more experienced and and very flexible person to work on a photoshoot. For this session, we did it outdoors at vicinity of the famous Swan Bell Tower.

I like to thank these two models for helping me complete my travel photography trip with their beautiful portraits.

Arrangements had to be made and researching to be done on places to visit upon touching down in Perth. Nevertheless, it was a very very cooling and fun experience !

I have a total of slightly over 140+ pictures to share with you which will be divided into 3 postings so do bear with me.

I shall start with the following sets of pictures : King’s Park, Swan River, a collage of pictures showing the Sights of Perth, and lastly a set of journalistic street photography of Perth’s Shopping District.

After reviewing the shots, I found some of them presenting the fireworks in a little weird exploding pattern ! Hahaha… Some are very wavy while others look “normal”. Anyway, I am still experimenting on the settings ! Hopefully there will be another fireworks event for me to test my techniques again in the near future !
